Access to station

• The station is situated on the south side of Hylton Road with separate entrances for each platform.
• There are 12 on-street parking bays off Hylton Road operated by the City of Sunderland and there are also 2 designated accessible parking bays operated by Metro located outside the entrance to Platform 2.

Access to ticketing areas

• Access to Platform 1 is off Hylton Road by ramp or stairs. Ramp is to current accessibility standards and both ramp and stairs have dual height handrails.
• Platform 2 is accessed by a short roadway, inclining downwards towards the station, or by stairs off the Hylton Road bridge.
• There is no dropped kerb from car park.

Access between platforms

• This station has a degree of step-free access to the platforms, which may be in both directions or in one direction only.
• Via Hylton Road bridge only.
