Access to station

  • Station is situated on either side of Bell’s Crossing on Brunton Lane with separate entrances to each platform.
  • There is a public car park operated by the City of Newcastle off Brunton Lane near to station with 95 unclassified parking bays and 4 designated accessible bays.

Access to ticketing areas

  • Platform 1 has ramped footpath from west side of Brunton Lane; approximately 30m (33yds) long with no resting places or handrail.
  • Platform 2 has gently sloping path on east side of Brunton Lane and level access from adjacent supermarket car park.

Access between platforms

  • This station has a degree of step-free access to the platforms, which may be in both directions or in one direction only.
  • Via level crossing only. Crossing is un-gated but has warning lights and sirens, take care before attempting to cross.
  • Wheelchair users should take care that wheels do not become stuck in rail grooves.
