Access to station

• Station is located between Sunderland Road and Felling by-pass, adjacent to Heworth Roundabout. It is part of a bus, Metro and rail interchange and accessed by footpaths over the bus interchange.
• Twin car parks adjacent to the station are operated by Gateshead Council: A Short-stay (4 hours) car park is located on the south side of the station with 70 unclassified parking bays and 7 designated accessible parking bays. A Long-stay park with 392 unclassified parking bays and 10 accessible bays is accessed through subway to north side of Felling by-pass. The ramp to this subway has no handrail and is a shared use pedestrian/cycle route.

• This station has step-free access to all platforms.
